  • The year 2009 has proven to be a richly rewarding one for Aria.  In July, Aria earned her NAKC/Rarities Master Supreme Grand Championship, topped only by her achievement (September '09) of being awarded the highest honors title--Hall of Fame--the first female Bergamasco to earn both of these prestigious awards!   She also earned two IABCA National and International Championship Titles in June and August '09.  Currently Aria holds the #1 Placement for the breed in UKC's Top Ten Competition, and the NAKC's Top Bergamasco for the Year 2009--very impressive, Aria!  And....she is rounding off her fabulous year of accomplishments by expecting puppies any day now!  Being an excellent mother, she is sure to excel and produce wonderful, loving pups in the whelping box once more.  What a truly grand dog!
  • In October 2008, Aria attained her Rarities/NAKC Supreme Grand Championship.  Some very esteemed judges have stated that she has such incredibly fluid movement and is so well put-together, so very correct by the Bergamasco Standard.  I wholeheartedly agree!
  • Aria was 2008's UKC #1 Top Ten Dog in the Bergamasco Breed placements.  Aria has ranked in the Top 4 spots in the UKC Top Ten every year since she entered the show ring, in 2004.
  • Aria has been awarded 2 Best In Show prizes and 2 Reserve Best In Shows in the Conformation ring to date.
  • The Best of Breed ribbons went to Aria in 2 of 4 huge 2007 shows at UKC's prestigious Premiere Dog Shows, which are held annually in Michigan in June.  She then competed in a Herding Group line-up of 26 beautiful UKC herding breeds--what an honor!
  • Aria earns her UKC Grand Championship, then only the 3rd Bergamasco to do so, and this is achieved at the same conformation show in which her daughter, my Behnina, wins her Championship--a mother-daughter sweep!
  • Aria wins a Herding Group Two after defeating two Bergamasco Champions at 8 months of age!
  • Aria has sped through the entry levels of her CPE Agility titles, pausing now and then to fulfill her loving, nurturing duties as a mother of her own precious pups.
  • Aria is the first of my dogs to have earned a Rarities' Puppy Best In Show, followed two years later by her beautiful daughter Bria, who was awarded 3 Puppy Best In Shows!  What a family tradition!
  • Exhibiting in the Puppy Class of the CFC, a Canadian Conformation venue, baby Aria is awarded a Herding Group One, another first for Herdabout Bergamascos.
  • Aria easily attained her Canine Good Citizenship Title--she is a very outgoing, loving, intelligent and approachable dog--a dog I am always honored to have by my side.
